Add Safety and Value to Your Home With Our Wells
A properly installed egress window well from Chicagoland Waterproofing is a must if you are using your basement as a habitable space. Egress windows act as a safe escape route in case your home has a fire and other points of exit are blocked, or are too dangerous to pass through.
Many homes have been built without the thought of an egress window, or have window wells that are poorly maintained, attracting water and debris. Our egress windows are designed to be large enough for an adult to climb in or out, and the windows allow a generous amount of natural sunlight and fresh air into any space, making a basement feel more livable.
Call us today for a free estimate and to properly install your window wells and maintain to ensure that any drainage pipes that are part of your system are also not clogged.

Window Well Drains: Installation and Maintenance
Every window well should have a drain to allow water to exit, preventing window wells from flooding and water pooling causing seepage. Inadequate window well drainage can cause a substantial amount of water to pour into your basement very quickly.
The window well drain is either tied into the drain tile system, routed to a sump pit or discharged to a gravity drain/drywell. You should regularly check window wells for debris and clean them out accordingly. Leaves, dirt and other debris can infest window wells clogging up the drain.
